About LaundryMax

LaundryMax reads the care label sewn into a garment — from a photo — and turns it into something you can act on: which wash pile the garment belongs in, what the machine should be set to, and what all those symbols on the tag actually mean.

It exists because care labels are written in a symbol language almost nobody was ever taught. The information is right there, stitched into every garment, and most of us still guess — then a wool sweater comes out of the machine two sizes smaller. LaundryMax's job is to make the label as easy to use as it should have been all along.

Who makes it

LaundryMax is built by Weblox, an independent software studio based in Israel. It's a small team, and the same people who build the app write the laundry guides on this site — they started as our own research into what care labels really require, checked against the ISO 3758 symbol standard and sources like Energy Star and the American Cleaning Institute.

Where it runs

The web version lives at laundrymax.app — scan care labels from your browser, keep a closet, and get machine settings per load. The Android app is on Google Play in closed testing, with a public release on the way.

How we make money

The free plan is supported by advertising, and LaundryMax Premium is a paid subscription that lifts the scan allowance and removes ads. That's the whole model — we don't sell personal data, and our privacy policy spells out exactly what is collected and why.
